| The evolution of the CSR movement was stimulated by the reaction of trade unions, environmental groups, consumer and human right activist, that had become disgruntled by the irresponsible actions of corporations that affect labour, human and environmental rights. The CSR movement reflects about the fact that without a concerted effort to confront the problem, few corporations will adopt and implement effective CSR practices.
Civil society organisations must promote information and strategies that impel corporations to integrate CSR practices and governments to adopt legislation and appropriate measures that respect CSR practices. |
